GARDENMIR BUILDING

The building 40 located on Prospekt Mira (formerly 1st Meshchanskaya Str.) was built especially for People’s Commissariat of State Farms of the USSR by architect I.N. Sobolev, a member of the architectural workshop of Mikhail Parusnikov, with the participation of A.V. Apostolova.

The restoration of the house and the reconstruction of the historical facade began in 2013.After several years of work, the facade of the building was renovated according to the surviving documentation of Moscow Department of Cultural Heritage. From the classical Stalin totalitarian empire, Gardenmir differs advantageously with the bold for those years color decision restored in the present day. There are many details related to botanical art in the exterior and interior of the Gardenmir building. In 2015, the façade of the building was completely restored, the infrastructure was modernized and the building was put into operation.
